It seems Council officers, you know those people we employ and pay for out of our hard earned Tax are fearful of publishing what they earn – there may be reprisals, it seems! I think that there means there will be widespread reprisals.

The Telegraph has this article here:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/7259289/Councils-afraid-to-say-how-much-they-pay-chiefs.html

Albeit long ago, when the moon was blue and local government officer were (in actual fact) poorly paid, it was a given that you made up for it in terms of other BENEFITS, such as painless sick leave entitlement (over 12 months) huge holiday entitlement and an outrageously generous pension – but no more.

No, no more, you get the Gold Plated pension, the same sick leave entitlement (up to twelve months) and as much holiday as a (but not quite) Lord of the land – and a salary not much less. Gawd, why did I leave local Government?

I want to know what these DORKS in local Government earn, and their expenses and bonus.

We will get to know, it is inevitable. And when we do we will be shocked. We will be ashamed and yes there will be retribution, but not on a personal level – except that you expect to account for your unworthiness of office.

And that is only the start – hello quango!

Meanwhile this PRAT requires First Class travel:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8521510.stm

Personally, I find MPs in First Class (train) or Business Class (plane) a total irritation – their just, well, lower class really. You know, they pretend to look important whilst Wilt is just trying to (quietly) listen to The WHO on his iPhone – OK who ever listens to the WHO quietly?

Nevertheless, having observed such dick heads in “my class” of accommodation I take the firm view they are definitely lower class – I at least purchase (at my expense) my ticket.

Do I really have to put up with these plebeian MPs? I mean, I at least earned it!

It seems there is now widespread acceptance that local authorities are in major decline – the latest example is here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire/8521323.stm

Immediate Cuts in expenditure – it is already happening. And, there will be worse, much worse, to come.

Hello next exposure………..

And Birmingham again:

Gawd help us all.

It must be hurting these MPs who expected to make a huge profit out of their second homes allowance now that it is expected they will have to repay any profit – poor little fellows. See the Telegraph article here:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/7246798/MPs-expenses-watchdog-says-second-home-profits-should-be-given-up.html

There is a further BBC article here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8517337.stm

And so it should be.

If Wilt were to use his second home as a tax break second home e.g. for business), he would at least have to pay capital gains tax on its sale – simple.

It is nice to see that the little (or fat) piggy’s who tell porky pies for a living are facing the loss of huge profits which they hoped could be realised when they sell up on that tax funded investment – oh dear Mr Plaskitt you will need to get a real job after the election.

Meanwhile, talking of piggy’s, David Wright MP has got himself into a pickle in his description of the Conservatives on his Twitter site – what a TWAT.

See the article here:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/7245445/Labour-MP-David-Wright-apologises-after-his-Twitter-feed-insults-Conservatives.html

And here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8517278.stm

Someone, he claims, hacked his account – sure!

Rather odd looking fellow, and we believe a good mate of PLaskitt – equally odd in all respects. At least Wright will not profit from a second home (not this time) as he rents his accommodation, although he did profit from selling his tenancy on a previous flat for a higher rent and then moving.

He also attempted to claim for a rather expensive electric razor on his allowances – a duck island may have been better. What a fucking DORK.

Despite his 5000 plus majority Wright will face a major challenge at the next election – in a recent by-election on the local Council the Conservatives had a major success and that will worry Wright.

A mate of mine in the area says [Wright] “he is dead meat.” [The] “bloke is history in Telford.”

We hope he has a job to return to, cos Telford and Wrekin Council (Conservative controlled – his former employer) aint going to employ him as in his hitherto role as a bog basic housing officer.

The sun is shining, life is good and soon we prepare for our next leg in the Malta trip.

We wondered where this story had gone. Here is an update thanks to Community Care:

http://www.communitycare.co.uk/blogs/social-work-blog/2010/02/former-calderdale-chief-pleads.html

And here: http://www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/news/Former-children39s-services-boss-in.6068073.jp

This story does go across UK borders – some weeks ago Wilt noticed search queries searching for “Rod Ryall” several times over as many weeks from Scandinavia arriving on Regulator Watch.

Perhaps he was on holiday there or otherwise there are others further afield interested in his alleged exploits.

And he not only an Oxford but also Cambridge graduate! That is no easy achievement, believe me.

Cambridge is the far nicer place! Far fewer American tourist plodding about and cluttering up the place, as in Oxford. And of course the second home of Wilt!

We await progress on this case.

This is not amusing really – I laughed in disbelief of the sheer stupidity of the mistake. See the BBC article here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edinburgh_and_east/8509134.stm

“One of the charges was he fitted a left foot to Patrick Morrison, 76, whose right foot had been removed.

The hearing heard that Mr Griffiths also failed to spot his error at two later check-ups.”

At least he admitted his errors and asked to be removed from the register.

The next chapter in the Mrs and the GSCC saga is ready and will be uploaded once it is clear that it will not interfere with ongoing investigations or pervert the course of justice.

However, chapter 6 is in hand – that may come before chapter 5. Odd I know, but we try to keep on the right side of “proper.”

The CCW (Care Council for Wales) who are the equivalent of the GSCC have made a 5 year admonishment of a former Barnardo’s worker for fiddling his expenses, as set out in this Community Care article here: http://www.communitycare.co.uk/Articles/2010/02/11/113775/ccw-admonishes-welsh-social-worker-for-dishonest-behaviour.htm

Naughty boy, but then he has had a good example to follow in our dishonourable MPs. Was he prosecuted we wonder?

Meanwhile the Scottish Nationalist Party and Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has advocated to a Court in Edinburgh that her constituent Abdul Rauf should not be imprisoned for fraudulent claims of state benefits amounting to £80, 000 whilst owning a property worth £200,000 (which he rented out) and lived in a further property worth £400,000. It also emerges that Mr Rauf had a previous conviction for fraud (£60,000) and was sentenced to four years in prison. Obviously the TWAT does not lean and is simply a greedy bastard.

See the BBC article here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/8510133.stm

Ms Sturgeon pleads that the man is married with children under 10 years of age and has already paid back £27,000 of his fraudulent claims.

I suppose it is our fault, we elect these fools. I am growing in my opinion that these frauds, when they are locked up, should be made to pay for their upkeep i prison – a bit medieval but it reduces my tax bill.

Also in the news is the new IPSA (Independent Parliamentary Standards Commission) who will cost us ££6.5M per year to employ 80 staff – that equates to £8, 250 per employee. Obviously that will include accommodation, National Insurance, Pension and other “on costs” but it still seems a bit steep. Do they really need 80 staff? I think not.

See the Telegraph article here:  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/7211733/MPs-expenses-watchdog-will-cost-6.5m-and-employ-80-staff.html

Also note that the Chairman of the IPSA (http://www.parliamentarystandards.org.uk/) Sir Ian Kennedy is on a three day a week £100,000 per year contract and whilst in his previous role with the Healthcare Commission as Chairman run up taxi expenses of £15,000!

Is this the right person for the job, we wonder? Gawd help us. Only Gordon Brown could have made this appointment – what a TWAT!

As yet no comment on this that I can find from Guido (http://order-order.com/) – he must be down the pub. I will join him shortly.

Also remember, the Healthcare Commission became the Care Quality Council – ex the NCSC and CSCI. Their website is here: http://www.cqc.org.uk/

If you want to apply to join the new IPSA, go here: http://www.theipsa.co.uk/microsite/index.asp

My application is in the post……….

You could not make it up – The Government DirectGov Kids website to advise children on safe web surfing has a banner name “Buster World.”

Regrettably, “Buster World” is also the name of a gay porno site. Guido picked on this news item yesterday here: http://order-order.com/2010/02/09/school-children-exposed-to-balls/

This was on the back a news item here: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/02/05/directgov_busters_world/

Well done Mr Balls! Unbelievable!
