storm in a teacup………

Just got home to find an email from my mate with a link to the Hansard record concerning Ofsted.
Some people do not give up, nor have a Ferkin clue. Plaskitt made a bit of a fool of himself in the House of Commons and wasted several more thousands of pounds of tax money on a dead issue, when it could be better spent on proper business. See the full transcript here (Hansard):

In all good time we will dissect this little debate and highlight, well, numerous errors and especially omissions.
The more this “Mrs A” (we wonder who that might be) gets to publicise her case the greater the likelihood she will ‘maintain’ the notoriety (“oh God not her again, I’m not in”) with all and sundry, and for certain the greater the details that will be revealed here on Regulator Watch.
Plaskitt was virtually pleading – why cannot Ofsted do something about these agencies and “individuals” (probably referring to Wilt as one of them)? Well, it’s simple – it’s a dead issue, was the basic answer. Try going to the Information Commissioner – tried that said Plaskitt. Ah well, it aint anything to do with Ofsted, they have more important things to be doing.
That is the gist of it.
Plaskitt could of course spend more time paying back all that money he fiddled on his expenses – claiming the full mortgage (tut tut), £300-£400 per month on food (yikes), and a host of stuff to equip his London flat, not mentioning the new gas boiler that should have been claimed off his insurance. No doubt the voters of Warwick and Leamington have noticed. And his links to the holding company for EduCare – a provider of social services in the private sector. When did he declare that little nugget of detail?
No doubt “Mrs A” will be proudly faxing and emailing off the Hansard transcript to everyone. Gawd help them. Something else to add to her records.
Anyway, onto more important things.
