Now I understand why there appears to be a problem with removing illegal immigrants (as in losing several hundred of them) and failed asylum seekers. See Guido’s little posting here:

I also now know we can dock the UK Border Agency staff a day’s pay. Can you believe it? Perhaps they bought the team kits out of the tax payers budget too – and no doubt will want travelling expenses and a free lunch.

Unbelievable! Sack the lot of them, there are plenty very able people seeking and more deserving of a job than that lot.
